Our three parakeets all hang out together a lot of the time, and feed one another, but Belle and Striker are especially affectionate toward one another and groom each other quite a bit. (3/27/2008)
Sparty was introduced into the cage after Striker and Belle, and hailed from a different flock–here they are getting to know one another still. (3/18/2008)

We got a third parakeet and they’re quite a flock with the three of them hanging out together! Sparty (yellow, far left) is a very wild bird!
In this photo, they were all just meeting each other. (Striker is the green one and Belle is the blue one.)

We added another bird to our flock yesterday evening! A young yellow
Australian-descended broad-tailed parrot (aka budgerigar aka parakeet) named
Spartan Don “Buzz” Barksdale (or Sparty) joined our two other
birds,
(Blue) Belle and (green) Striker.
These budgerigars are a small species of bird, but Sparty is definitely a
big guy. He has a bit of dark coloring on his head and tail and some dark
trim on the wings, but over much of him he is light yellow and green.
Jessica chose him for his friendly and outgoing personality.
Jessica and I got new birds today. They were born some time around July
2007, and they are a pair of parakeets (aka budgerigars aka parrots). The
blue or turquoise one is Jessica’s, named Belle, and mine is the green one
which I named Striker.
