I saw this bird at Mountain Lake Park in the Presidio on 11/13/2007–a
muscovy duck with what appeared to be very bad oil stains on him. This
recent oil spill at the Golden Gate was a terrible outrage, and it affects
the Richmond neighborhood and the whole city of San Francisco, not just the
shoreline. Some birds are being rescued but the cleanup is slow and widespread damage to wildlife is undeniable.
